1. Local-only data
DateCompass stores many features locally so the app can work offline. Local data may include saved activities, Favorites, Bucket List items, My Dates, planning details, checklists, reminders, notification history, custom lists, recent planning areas, preferences, and entitlement cache metadata.
- Use in-app reset, clear, or delete controls where provided.
- Clearing app storage through Android settings or uninstalling the app generally removes local application data from that device, subject to platform backup behavior.
- Local information that was previously synchronized to an account may remain in the cloud until cloud deletion is completed.
2. Account deletion
If you have a DateCompass account, use the in-app account deletion flow when it is available and verified for your build. If you need assistance, email northstarapp.support@gmail.com with the subject DateCompass Data Deletion Request.
Do not send passwords or payment credentials. DateCompass may take reasonable steps to verify that the requester is authorized to delete the account.
3. Beta feedback
If you want help deleting beta feedback associated with you, contact DateCompass Support and identify the feedback as clearly as possible without sending unnecessary personal information.
4. Information that may be retained
Some information may be retained when required by law, needed for security and fraud prevention, necessary to resolve disputes, or contained in backups that cannot reasonably be isolated immediately. Retained information should remain protected and be removed or aged out according to applicable retention practices.
5. Third-party services
Deleting DateCompass data does not automatically delete information independently held by Google Play, Apple, billing providers, mapping/weather providers, email providers, or other third parties. Use the privacy and account controls provided by those services where applicable.
